I teach viola and coordinate the String Division at San Diego State University's School of Music and Dance.
I'm passionate about teaching children to play violin and viola, so I co-founded and co-direct the SDSU String Academy for students 5-18. In addition to teaching private lessons and group classes to students of all levels, at the String Academy we train the next generation of string teachers.
Student engagement in the learning process is paramount, so I strive to ensure students have fun in lessons and group classes, all while learning to play with expression and physical freedom.
Parents of beginning students: Please read about the SDSU String Academy for more information on beginning study of the violin and viola.
Prospective SDSU Music Majors: Please visit the relevant music department's website for more information on applying and auditioning for my studio.
