I'm thrilled to be organizing the 3rd Annual Stringissimo, held at SDSU's School of Music and Dance.  This year we'll be featuring Mimi Zweig, Joshua Bell's first teacher and the head of Pedagogy at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music.  Ms. Zweig is a legendary teacher.  She'll be doing a clinic on how to teach students of various levels as well as a masterclass where she will demonstrate these concepts in action.

In addition, the other string faculty and I will will be doing a team clinic with the East County Youth Symphony.  This event is perfect for string teachers, students and anyone else interested in learning more about string teaching and playing, so check it out!

I'm very pleased to announce that Che-Yen "Brian" Chen, principal violist of the San Diego Symphony, will be presenting a free master class at SDSU, open to the public. Mr. Chen was a top prizewinner at the Primrose and Tertis International Viola Competitions, and recently a featured soloist with the San Diego Symphony.

Mr. Chen will coach three of my SDSU students in works of Walton, Brahms and Shulman. I hope you can attend what promises to be a very exciting and illuminating event!
